About the Role
Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced
Upholsterer on behalf of a growing and well-established furniture manufacturer in Durham.
Due to continued expansion, our client is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join their production team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong upholstery background who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble upholstery components to specification.
- Create patterns and work from design requirements.
- Upholster a variety of furniture products to a high standard.
- Handle materials and finished products, including heavy lifting where required.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
- Identify and resolve upholstery-related issues during the manufacturing process.
- Follow all company quality and health & safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and work from specifications, patterns, and designs.
