Role – Deputy Harbour Master Location – Somerset Pay rate – £237.55 Hours – 40 hours per week. About the role Our site is a statutory harbour authority, set up specifically to facilitate the import of materials to be used in the construction of our clients Nuclear Power Station. Our client has constructed a 500m long state-of-the-art temporary jetty within the Bristol channel. The jetty operates based on construction demands as well as the demands of the environment, sitting within the 3rd highest tidal range in the world. The Deputy Harbour Master is to assist the Harbour Master in the day-to-day management of marine operations at our client site. The role will have delegated powers of the Harbour Master in respect of navigational safety and at a wider level when deputising for the Harbour Master. Proven, effective interpersonal skills are required to ensure effective liaison, both internally and externally.
