The Role
MANORS is a golf brand exploring a new frontier for the game and culture. One guided by the sports past, that progresses with the people who play. We built the brand on the idea that golf is a game to be explored, not mastered. If you feel the same way, we’d love to hear from you about the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Community & Events Manager to lead the launch and growth of the MANORS community from the ground up. You will design, execute, and run the program, getting members signed up, ensuring it’s delivered flawlessly, and working closely with our brand and marketing teams to make sure it looks, feels, and sounds like MANORS at every touchpoint.
You’ll also grow and manage our ambassador, affiliate, influencer, and high-value customer network, deliver premium events, and create an engaged online and offline community that drives both brand love and commercial results.
This role is hands-on and entrepreneurial. You’ll be the main driver of the program’s success, with guidance and support from the wider team.
Community Program Creation & Management
- Manage the full launch of the MANORS Clubhouse community program.
- Support member recruitment, onboarding, and engagement strategies.
- Work with the brand team to ensure all creative assets, messaging, and touchpoints align with MANORS’ tone and values.
- Collaborate with marketing to integrate the program into campaigns and product launches.
- Manage the technical setup with CRM and e-commerce teams, ensuring seamless integration with Shopify, Klaviyo, and loyalty platforms.
- Continually optimise the program based on sign‑up rates, member engagement, and commercial performance.
Community Engagement & Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ambassadors, affiliates, influencers, and high‑value customers.
- Deliver regular touchpoints – Q&A sessions, UGC challenges, monthly spotlights, to keep the community engaged.
- Monitor and respond to community interactions across Instagram, WhatsApp, broadcast channels, and other platforms.
- Track community sentiment and feedback, reporting insights to the marketing and product teams.
Ambassador Growth & Management
- Recruit ambassadors who best represent MANORS’ brand values, style, and vision.
- Grow the existing ambassador team from ~12 to a larger, strategically aligned network to increase brand awareness, content output, and affiliate‑driven sales.
- Maintain regular contact with ambassadors through check‑ins, meetings, and on‑the‑ground relationship building.
- Track ambassador performance: report on engagement, content output, sales generated via affiliate codes, and ROI.
- Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure ambassadors are wearing, featuring, and promoting the right products at the right time.
- Manage ambassador clothing allocations, ensuring they have what they need for content, events, and seasonal campaigns.
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan and deliver MANORS’ annual events calendar: At least four premium events, two lifestyle events, and multiple ambassador‑led meetups.
- Manage logistics, budgets, guest lists, partner integrations, and on‑the‑day execution.
- Ensure events are highly shareable and produce content that feeds back into our digital community.
- Collaborate with ambassadors and affiliates to run supplementary community events, ensuring they align with the brand’s tone and standards.
Content & Partnerships
- Build partnerships with golf courses, golf partners, simulators, and other great brands to offer tee times, meet ups, and unique community rewards.
- Collaborate with the creative team to source, brief, and publish UGC (user generated content) that reflects brand values.
- Support influencer and ambassador campaigns, ensuring they contribute to both brand reach and community engagement.
Customer Insights
- Develop and lead a structured process for gathering regular feedback from customers on products, brand experience, and community initiatives.
- Use surveys, polls, and direct conversations (online and at events) to understand customer preferences, unmet needs, and areas for improvement.
- Make participation feel like a reward, integrating activities into the community and ensuring customers feel they are helping to shape the brand.
- Present key insights regularly to the marketing, merchandising, and product teams to inform future product development and brand direction.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Initiative & Ownership: Able to take a concept and turn it into a live, successful program with minimal hand‑holding.
- Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of personalities.
- Organised & Detail‑Oriented: Can manage multiple projects, events, and community touchpoints simultaneously.
- Creative & Commercial: Understands how to make community initiatives exciting while driving measurable business impact.
- Confident Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting ideas and results.
- Social Media & Software Fluent: Knowledge of Instagram, WhatsApp, Klaviyo (can learn) and other relevant community platforms.
- Event‑Savvy: Experience in planning, promoting, and delivering high‑quality events.
- Data‑Informed: Comfortable tracking KPIs, engagement metrics, and member progression.
Valuable Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in events, community management, influencer marketing (ideally in fashion, sports, or lifestyle).
- Proven track record of managing events (required).
- A good understanding and appreciation for brand, content and the creator landscape.
- Highly personable and entrepreneurial.
- Experience growing ambassador or affiliate networks and delivering measurable results.
- Familiarity with Social Media, Shopify, and CRM platforms is good but not essential.
