The Role
Manor School are looking for an Inclusion Manager to support the positive behaviour of all students across the school.
Work to enable all students to achieve their full potential and manage the behaviour spaces within school to support student learning.
Key Tasks
- Handle the management of all behaviour-based spaces providing both pastoral and academic support.
- Assist the Student Support Team with student learning welfare and behaviour, providing advice for techniques to manage student behaviour.
- Support the management and help the learning of the students timetabled in the isolation room and ensure supervision of the students studying there.
- Be the first responder to deal with behavioural issues as they occur, investigate where necessary and then liaise with colleagues to keep all informed.
- Find students who are late to lessons from the previous day and then supervise break time detentions.
- Investigate incidences that occur in the school with students.
- Maintain and record all incidents relating to racism, homophobia, disability and bullying etc. Log all incidents onto the database and report half-termly.
About You
You will have
- Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
- Previous experience of working with young people in an advisory capacity.
- Awareness of child protection issues.
- Able to deal with challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
