We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and welcoming special school in North West London. This role is available across all three of our sites. Manor School provides an Ofsted‑judged ‘Outstanding’ specialist learning environment for pupils with a wide range of special needs. We have a clear and strong vision of ‘love, learn, laugh’ which we achieve through creating a positive, engaging setting where all pupils can reach their full potential. The school is split across two sites in Brent: the Primary School is on Chamberlayne Road in Kensal Rise, the Early Years Centre (MSEYC) is on Bridge Road in Neasden.

Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be working in a provision supporting children with complex communication, behaviour and sensory processing needs.
  • Previous experience of SEND is therefore essential.
  • Experience of a specialist setting is also highly desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Positive, energetic and creative teaching assistants with a love of teaching and learning;
  • Experience of supporting children with special needs;
  • Ability to work in partnership with their class teacher;
  • Experience in positively managing behaviour;
  • Experience or knowledge of autism and/or a range of learning needs and disabilities;
  • Previous SEND experience; specialised setting experience desirable.
