The role of the Local SEO Manager is to support the Senior Digital Performance Manager by leveraging the Google local search landscape and driving activities related to Google products like Google Business Profile (GBP), review generation, local competitor analysis, and local search performance. The goal is to support local lead flow objectives and implement SEO best practices to maximise the discoverability and performance of our websites across organic and paid channels targeting local users.
The role's key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering priority Local Search projects across Rentokil Initial and its subsidiary brands globally.
- Working across the local search landscape and delivering across both organic and paid search channels to support Rentokil Initial and its subsidiaries in leveraging local search volumes to drive conversions and lead flow.
- Managing and supporting the Google Business Profile (GBP) landscape across Rentokil Initial and its subsidiaries, including creation, deduplication, deletion, verification, and optimal configuration of GBP profiles for key markets.
- Liaising with Google Account Managers, Google Support, and local markets regarding profile management.
- Collaborating with the Performance Marketing Team to identify local keywords and optimise Google Post campaigns and content.
- Managing communication with local markets in conjunction with the Performance Marketing and Digital Account Management team to ensure progress tracking.
- Supporting the global roll-out of review generation in platforms like Embed Social/Podium.
- Driving and supporting markets with first and third-party review generation activities across both organic and paid channels.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with and optimising Google Business Profile.
- Good understanding and experience of Local SEO best practices.
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and their impact on organic performance.
- Knowledge of technical SEO changes.
- Ability to use 3rd party audit/SEO/Search tools for web quality audits.
- Collaborative working style with colleagues in the wider Digital Team and different departments.
- Preferably some experience with enterprise content management systems and web content creation.
- Up-to-date with current digital marketing trends and technologies.
- Experience in MS Office or Google Apps.
- Strong understanding of Google’s web monitoring and analytics tools.
Additional Competencies (advantageous but not essential):
- Knowledge and experience in paid search.
- Understanding of the web development cycle and web technologies.
- Experience using WordPress or similar platforms.
- Additional European language skills.
