Now the UK's leading provider, we are capable of dealing with the many and varied challenges encountered on offshore wind projects globally; we bring together the expertise and experience of our teams of marine and engineering professionals to assist us with the growing industry demand for efficient and reliable offshore solutions.
MRE are looking for Generator Engineers that will be responsible for installing, testing, inspecting and maintaining a range of generators on Offshore Wind Farms. We are keen to hear from individuals with a strong mechanical or electrical background. The role would be working on time for time rotations with travel and accommodation provided. This year we have projects throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and America.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a range of generators, typically ranging from 20kVA up to 250kVA.
- Testing and inspecting a range of generators.
- Applying fault finding techniques when attending breakdowns.
- Always representing Manor Renewable Energy in a professional manner.
- Compiling and completing service engineer reports.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience:
- Must have experience working with generators, either onshore or offshore. The work will be working offshore but we are happy to discuss the steps required to get qualified for working offshore. There will be a requirement for GWO's and an offshore medical certificate.
Skills and Competence:
- Confident interpersonal communication skills are important as well as being a team player.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to think problems through logically.
- A calm and professional manner.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Other Information:
Competitive day rates to successful candidates, time for time rotations. Must have the right to work in the UK. Please note that this role is in response to our increased project workload throughout 2024.
