The Manor House Care Home is a large, purpose‑built service providing tailored care for up to 125 residents across several specialist divisions. We offer 24‑hour nursing care for adults with complex physical and mental health needs, in a safe and supportive environment where every individual is valued and respected.
We are now looking for compassionate and reliable Mental Health Care Assistants to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of others, while developing your skills within a caring and professional setting.
What We Offer
- ÂŁ12.21 per hour
- Full‑time and part‑time contracts available (12–44 hours per week)
- Days, nights, and bank shifts available (12‑hour shifts)
- Pension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full‑time contract)
Your Role
As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will provide person‑centred care and support to residents with complex mental health conditions. You will promote independence, choice, and positive daily routines, ensuring each individual’s needs and preferences are respected.
You will follow personalised care plans, observe and report any changes in residents’ wellbeing, and work closely with clinical leads to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained. Your empathy, patience, and professionalism will help create a calm and nurturing environment where residents can thrive.
What We Are Looking For
- At least six months of experience supporting individuals with mental health needs (ideally within a care setting)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding nature
- A team‑focused approach with a commitment to person‑centred care
