The Manor Hotel is a vibrant and dynamic family business situated in the heart of Meriden.

The business enterprise includes The National Motorcycle Museum & National Conference Centre and The Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to work with our housekeeping team.

You must have proven experience in working with high standards, working with a large, diverse team and also have great attention to detail.

This is a fast paced role; with the main area of responsibility including supervising, leading and motivating the teams with a focus on dedication of the highest level of cleanliness.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Support the smooth running of the housekeeping department, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels.
  • Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest inquiries and problem resolution.
  • Assist with the assignment of rooms to housekeeping room operatives as instructed.
  • Ensure bedrooms are inspected daily and are compliant with Company standards throughout, reporting all maintenance faults as soon as located to maintenance.
  • Ensure that all hotel bedrooms, corridors and public areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key departments.
  • Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping, as identified by the hotels brand standards.
  • Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit; performing follow-up as required.
