We are looking for a passionate and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to work with our housekeeping team.
You must have proven experience in working with high standards, working with a large, diverse team and also have great attention to detail.
This is a fast paced role; with the main area of responsibility including supervising, leading and motivating the teams with a focus on dedication of the highest level of cleanliness.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Support the smooth running of the housekeeping department, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels.
- Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest inquiries and problem resolution.
- Assist with the assignment of rooms to housekeeping room operatives as instructed.
- Ensure bedrooms are inspected daily and are compliant with Company standards throughout, reporting all maintenance faults as soon as located to maintenance.
- Ensure that all hotel bedrooms, corridors and public areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key departments.
- Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies and procedures.
- Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping, as identified by the hotels brand standards.
- Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit; performing follow-up as required.
