We have a new opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our hotel. You will receive a competitive salary plus benefits which include free onsite parking, free membership to our state of the art gym and golf club, discounted food & beverage and discounted stays within the group.

As our Kitchen Porter, you will need ambition and speed. You will be working to support our teams under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef. As a busy hotel, you will need stamina and skill to ensure our kitchen teams have everything they need at all times. You are the key to our kitchens producing the high-quality food that our guests have come to expect.

Key responsibilities for the Kitchen Porter are:

  • Collect and wash pots, pans, plates and cutlery to get them back into use quickly
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
  • Make sure kitchen equipment is properly stored
  • Remove and recycle waste from the kitchen
  • Unload deliveries and organise the storeroom
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility are kept clean and organised
  • Clean and sanitise all kitchen areas throughout the day
  • Help to maintain the kitchen equipment by carrying out the correct care and cleaning requirements and reporting any equipment maintenance issues
  • Adhere to the health and hygiene, food safety and COSHH regulations
  • Work in co-operation with other departments, especially the food services departments
