As our Bars Assistant you will
- Supply the highest possible level of guest care and service to the guests, internal and external.
- Prepare bar area and dispensing equipment prior to service.
- Attain a high level of product knowledge and pricing.
- Prepare drinks orders for guests according to specified recipes in accordance with specified measuring systems.
- Take orders, dispense drinks, serve at bar and tables (where applicable) and handle cash transactions.
- Collect, wash and maintain glassware during service.
- Serve bar foods and sundry items as required.
- Carry out bar closing procedures.
- Have a full understanding of bar food menu and beverage stock list.
- Actively promote additional menu items using upsell techniques to generate incremental revenue.
- Maintain a “No Empty Glasses and No Empty Tables” culture, ensuring every guest is served with minimal waiting time.
- Process all payment methods accordingly. Count takings at end of shift and complete designated cashier reports.
- Comply with all aspects of ‘Alcohol Licensing’ regulations.
- Carry out tasks as shown on the departmental cleaning rota as to the standards required.
- Assist and be courteous to guests, displaying good customer care, hospitality and social skills at all times.
