We would love to hear from candidates who

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years.
  • Have experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • Have a secure understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Value child-led learning and understand the importance of learning through play.
  • Are committed to building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of high-quality learning experiences that engage and inspire young children.
  • Foster children's curiosity, independence and confidence through purposeful play and exploration.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress to support their next steps in learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and colleagues to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
  • Support the development of communication, language and early reading skills.
  • Build positive partnerships with parents and carers to support children's learning and development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold the values and ethos of Manor Hill First School.
  • Engage positively with professional development opportunities and school improvement priorities.
