The Role

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and well-organised School Administration Assistant to join our friendly office team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school office, supporting staff, pupils, parents, and external visitors.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has strong attention to detail, and can provide excellent customer service while balancing multiple priorities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be a team player – work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.
  • Have great attention to detail – maintain accurate records, pupil data, and administrative systems.
  • Show resilience – remain calm, professional, and adaptable during busy times.
  • Be highly organised – manage a range of tasks such as reception, registers, filing, and correspondence efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively – respond confidently to phone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Be IT proficient – comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, and able to learn school systems (e.g. BROMCOM).
  • Work with professionalism and discretion – handle sensitive information in line with safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Be committed to school values – contribute to a positive office environment that supports learning and community.
  • Previous experience in a school office or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with BROMCOM or other MIS systems.
  • Experience of supporting annual review processes or similar admin tasks.
  • First aid training (or willingness to undertake it).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and school policies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
