We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated staff team. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to support pupils’ learning across the classroom, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will play a key part in creating a positive, safe and engaging environment where all pupils - including those with additional needs - can flourish.
Key Responsibilities- Support teaching and learning under the guidance of the class teacher
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and deliver targeted support
- Help pupils to understand instructions, stay engaged and build confidence
- Promote inclusion and adapt support to meet a wide range of learning needs, including SEND
- Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, purposeful classroom environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and mental wellbeing
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement
- Assist with breaktimes, lunch times, educational visits and school activities as required
- Support the use of ICT and digital learning tools
- Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
- Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting (or is keen to develop in this area)
- Demonstrates patience, flexibility and a nurturing approach
- Has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Works well as part of a team while also using initiative
- Is committed to inclusion, equality and pupil wellbeing
- Upholds the highest standards of safeguarding and professional conduct
