Costing Analyst - Manufacturing

Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

Languages: Fluent in Italian and English.

Purpose: To proactively manage the costing within product manufacturing, including benchmarking of factories and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective prices are negotiated and agreed without impacting on existing relationships, quality or efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Request cost prices and cost sheets to factories.
• Analyse cost sheets and challenge factories in case of cost or consumption discrepancies/inconsistencies.
• Request prices from material suppliers, negotiate them and log them in PLM system.
• Proactively look for opportunities for cost saving across factories before and after market – with the support of Head of Product and Footwear Technician.
• Provide target costs to Product Development for materials/accessories.
• Track historical costs for carryover materials and styles.
• Work closely with the Pricing Analyst.
• Work closely with factories and suppliers.
• Manage costs in PLM and ERP systems and verify data integrity.
• Any other tasks as requested.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Fluent in Italian and English is required.
• Technical knowledge of luxury footwear is preferable (ideally women’s and men’s).
• Knowledge of materials in relation to features, benefits and pricing.
• Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines.
• Excellent numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build relationships and network easily, both internally and externally.
• Representing Manolo Blahnik products and values with passion.
