We are looking for a Technical Sales & Estimating Coordinator to join our Precast Concrete team, supporting our growing customer base across the GB construction market.
The role centres around managing customer enquiries for our hollow core flooring and precast concrete stairs. You’ll receive drawings and project information from contractors, assess the requirements, calculate quantities and prepare detailed quotations including manufacture, haulage and cranage. You’ll then work directly with customers to discuss the quotation, follow up opportunities and help turn enquiries into orders.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing architectural and structural drawings.
- Measuring quantities and preparing quotations.
- Calculating project costs including haulage and cranage.
- Speaking directly with contractors and customers about their projects.
- Following up quotations and developing sales opportunities.
- Building relationships with new and existing GB customers.
- Working with our design, production, transport and contracts teams when projects are secured.
Requirements:
We’re flexible about your background – You might already work in estimating, or technical coordination and be interested in developing your commercial and customer-facing skills.
Alternatively, you might have construction or building-products sales experience and be interested in developing the technical side of your role. Depending on your experience, we’re looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable with numbers and technical information.
- A good communicator who enjoys dealing with customers.
- Commercially minded.
- Organised and accurate.
- Interested in developing a career in technical sales.
Experience reading construction drawings or preparing quotations would be an advantage, but previous precast concrete experience is not essential – full product training will be provided.
Existing sales experience or contacts within the GB construction market would also be an advantage.
