Our client, an operational technology and digital transformation company, is recruiting for a Site Manager - CDM to join their business in Staffordshire, UK.
Position Type: Permanent (Full time)

Location: Staffordshire, UK
Responsibilities:
- Manage the installation, commissioning & customer acceptance of Protection, Control, Automation and Electrical installations across the Energy Sector including Transmission Electricity Substations, Large Generators and Large Industrial Clients to the required safety, quality, time & specification.
- Management responsibility for leading a site team that may consist of Site Technicians, Hardware Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, Software Engineers, and Sub-contractors during the site installation and commissioning phases of the project.
- Chair pre site start, regular site progress and co-ordination meetings with clients including production of related minutes.
- Develop and review applicable documentation to support site works including Project Safety Health and Environmental plans or Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessment & Method Statements, Site Waste Management Plans, Site Inductions, etc.
- Undertake site surveys as required to support the tendering team in site related matters and as part of the project implementation.
- Collaboratively lead and work across engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure sufficient resources are planned for site work to enable delivery to cost, budget and quality.
- Support Project Management in identification of change to scope affecting programme, cost, etc.
- Assist with Electrical Installation/Test/Commissioning activities where required.
- Be responsible for the site quality systems including the Installation and Test Plan Documentation (ITP’s).
Requirements:
- Be an experienced site manager with a good understanding of site installation requirements from an electrical & small mechanical background.
- Have a good knowledge of UK regulatory requirements in relation to the management of works on a Construction project including CDM Regulations 2015.
- Be flexible in methods of working to achieve best outcomes.
- Full UK drivers’ licence and willingness to travel.
- To have successfully completed specific health and safety awareness training delivered by recognised training provider (IOSH, CITB, RoSPA, BSC etc).
- To have successfully completed Construction Industry Training Board Construction Skills Site Managers Safety Training Scheme course (5 days) or equivalent.
- Have experience in carrying out Electrical Installation works and hold current BS:7671 18th edition qualifications.
- Trained in Temporary Works Coordination / Supervision.
- Undertaken Asbestos Awareness training.
- Undertaken Impressed Voltages Training and understand the causes and consequences of Impressed Voltages.
- Understanding of the UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation.
- Current “National Grid Competent Person” First Aid at Work Certificate.
- Good knowledge of the relevant National Grid procedures and standards.
