Charlesworth Nicholl & Co are looking for a Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our small and friendly Private Client team with a focus on Will drafting and LPAs.
Key details

• Location: Crediton, Devon
• Hours: 3-4 days a week, flexible with the opportunity for some remote working after a probationary period (21 hours per week)
• Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
  

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Running a diverse caseload of all types of private client matters from initial instruction through to completion with particular focus on the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Providing expert legal advice and updating and assisting clients in person, via email and phone
• Maintaining files in our case management system
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies and procedures and up-to-date knowledge of Private Client law
  

Skills And Experience You Will Need

• Previous experience working in a busy Private Client department handling a mixture of matters with particular focus on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Ability to stay positive and polite when under pressure
• A high level of client care using effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Close attention to detail as confidentiality and accuracy are of critical importance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Confidence when multitasking and able to prioritise workload as appropriate
• Previous experience using a case management system and Microsoft Office
• Experience in advising agricultural/farming clients and small business owners would be an advantage
