We are a highly regarded not-for-profit, values-based organisation, offering residential, community and in-home aged care for over 30 years, to older people living in and around the city of Manningham.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to work Wednesday/Thursday morning and Friday afternoon shifts in our Memory Support Unit. This vacant role requires a strong personality, that shows great leadership, fantastic communication skills with families, residents, and the team. We need an RN who can work within the team supporting the staff, can speak clearly and precisely to families, has experience with care plan reviews and restrictive practice. Not only will you have the support of a Clinical Care Coordinator and After-Hours Coordinator, but we also have lifestyle assistance in the evening.
About You:
- Relevant nursing qualifications & AHPRA registration
- Relevant experience within residential aged care or healthcare
- Experience with providing care to those specifically with Dementia
- Experience with wound care, palliative care, behaviour management, assessments and care plans.
- Can complete care plan reviews in consultation with families and residents.
- Experience with clinical assessments and after-hours client management
- Comprehensive understanding of SIRS and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Have strong and effective leadership skills
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to supervise team members
- Passion for working with the elderly
- Additional education in Dementia is regarded but not essential
