Estate Accommodation Housekeeper

Location: Across Maninplace properties in Telford & Wrekin
Salary: £13,988 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Help create safe, welcoming homes that change lives.

At Maninplace, we believe everyone deserves somewhere safe to call home.

For over 19 years, we've supported people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping across Telford & Wrekin, providing accommodation, support and opportunities to rebuild their lives. Behind every successful move into accommodation is a property that is clean, welcoming and ready for someone to make a fresh start—and that's where you come in.

We're looking for an Estate Accommodation Housekeeper who takes genuine pride in creating high standards and understands the difference a clean, safe environment can make to someone's wellbeing.

About the role

This is much more than a housekeeping role.

Working across our accommodation portfolio, you'll prepare properties for new arrivals, maintain communal areas, carry out deep cleans and help ensure every home meets the high standards our customers deserve.

You'll also play an important part in identifying maintenance issues, ensuring properties remain safe, and supporting the wider Property Standards Team.

Although your primary focus is maintaining our accommodation, you'll often work around customers who may be rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness. A respectful, compassionate and non-judgemental approach is therefore just as important as your housekeeping skills.

No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy working across different locations while being part of a supportive and friendly team.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing accommodation for new customer arrivals, including making beds with fresh linen.
  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas to a consistently high standard.
  • Carrying out scheduled deep cleans across our accommodation.
  • Maintaining property presentation and identifying repairs.
  • Using commercial cleaning equipment and products safely.
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and COSHH requirements.
  • Supporting safe, welcoming environments for our customers.
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain excellent accommodation standards.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in delivering excellent cleaning standards.
  • Has experience in domestic or commercial cleaning.
  • Has excellent attention to detail.
  • Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Can communicate confidently and professionally.
  • Has an understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle insured for business use.
  • Is willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

Experience within housing, supported accommodation or homelessness services would be an advantage but isn't essential.

Why join Maninplace?

Our values are at the heart of everything we do:

Innovate – We continually look for better ways to support our customers and each other.

Accommodate – We create safe, welcoming spaces where people can begin rebuilding their lives.

Motivate – We empower both customers and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.

We know that supporting vulnerable people starts with supporting our staff, so we offer:

  • £13,988 annual salary
  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • Annual leave entitlement
  • Additional recognition day after one year's service
  • Mileage allowance
  • Wellbeing support
  • Training and development opportunities
  • After probation:
    • Company pension
    • Discounted local bus travel
    • Short-term sickness pay and attendance reward scheme

Ready to make a difference?

If you're someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in high standards and wants your work to make a real difference to people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
