We are working with a global multimodal freight forwarding company, based in Glasgow. On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an Ocean & Air Coordinator / Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join their Glasgow office. This role would suit an experienced Ocean & Air Coordinator or Freight Forwarding Coordinator with hands-on exposure to air freight and ocean freight operations, looking to join a stable and reputable freight forwarder with a strong UK and international presence.

Role Overview: The Ocean & Air Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating air freight and ocean freight import and export shipments from booking through to delivery. Working within a freight forwarding environment, you will liaise with carriers, overseas agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliant shipment movements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate air freight and ocean freight import and export shipments
  • Prepare, check, and process Freight Forwarding documentation
  • Ensure compliance with customs, regulatory, and operational requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Ocean & Air Coordinator, Freight Forwarder, or Freight Forwarding Coordinator
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs procedures
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Exceptional Customer Service with strong follow-up skills

Salary & Package:

Salary range: £28,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience. Permanent role, Monday to Friday, office-based in Glasgow.
