An opportunity for an experienced Freight Forwarding Operator to join an independent forwarding business in Leeds, working across international Air and Ocean Freight operations.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering both Imports and Exports, offering the opportunity to take ownership of shipments from start to finish while developing wider multimodal experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating Air and Ocean Import and Export shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Managing freight documentation, customs requirements and transport arrangements
- Liaising with customers, overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines and hauliers
- Monitoring shipments, resolving operational issues and providing customer updates
- Supporting quotations, costing, invoicing and wider operational activities
About You:
- Hands-on operational experience within UK freight forwarding - essential
- Experience across Air and/or Ocean Freight operations
- Good understanding of international freight documentation and shipping procedures
- Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage shipments independently
- MultiFreight experience advantageous, but not essential
- Full right to work in the UK
What You Can Expect:
- Salary up to £35k DOE
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
