We are looking for Sample Assistant to join our team!
This role plays a vital role in the fashion industry.
Your main responsibility is managing the fabric and samples co-ordination.
Working closely with Designers, Garment Techs, and Buying teams.
You must have strong organisation skills, keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of sampling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sample inventory, ensuring samples are kept organised, labelled, and maintained across different sites.
- Supporting designers throughout the entire design and sampling processes.
- Assist in measuring garments accurately and prepare for fit sessions.
- Own and maintain the fabric library daily.
- Recolour CADs.
- Co-ordinate printing tech pack and fit comments and ensure timely delivery to various departments within the organisation.
- Co-ordinate all sample parcel delivery and returns.
- Coordinate with suppliers for fabric and trim sourcing
- Maintain accurate records of each sample's status, from development to final approval.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure everyone is aligned on within sampling and fabric sourcing.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to achieve timely delivery of new fabric requests.
- Troubleshoot issues with sample delivery from Far East suppliers.
Requirements
- Equivalent experience within a fashion business or relative experience from studies.
- Proven experience as co-ordinator or similar role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
- Familiarity with fabrics, and production processes would be desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite would be desirable.
