We are seeking a Junior Garment Technologist to join our team based in Manchester, UK. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in garment production, fit, testing, and quality control, and will support the technical design process across designated product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the technical design process, contributing to quality, consistency, and accuracy across assigned product areas.
  • Assist in maintaining technical standards for garment construction, fit, and functionality.
  • Support KPI tracking and improvement initiatives, including defect rates, first-time pass rates, production efficiency, compliance, and returns.
  • Assist with quality control processes, including fabric testing, audits, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Partner with manufacturers to support consistent execution of technical requirements throughout production.
  • Participate in fit sessions, documenting feedback and helping to identify and resolve potential technical issues.
  • Support sampling processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Buyers, and Suppliers to provide technical input on new product development and construction methods.
  • Help analyze returns and quality issues and support implementation of corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a Garment Technology or related role (multi-product experience preferred).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of garment construction, fit, quality control, and fabric testing.
  • Experience working with manufacturers and/or suppliers.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
