Manicomio Restaurant is looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team in the heart of Chelsea. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded Italian restaurant group known for its commitment to quality, creativity, and exceptional dining experiences.
About the Role
This is a Monday to Friday role. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen on a day-to-day basis, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and consistent delivery of authentic Italian cuisine. You will play a key leadership role, supporting the team while maintaining a calm, organised, and professional kitchen environment.
What We're Looking For
- Supporting the Head Chef in the overall management of the kitchen
- Leading and motivating the brigade during service
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Overseeing food quality, consistency, and portion control
- Managing kitchen hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP compliance
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and waste management
- Training and developing junior members of the kitchen team
- Helping to create a positive, disciplined, and team-focused kitchen culture
We are looking for a chef who brings:
