Mangopay is a wallet-based payment infrastructure built specifically for organisations with complex, multi-party fund flows. A pioneer in multi-party payments, our solution optimises fund flows on behalf of the organisations we work with using wallets as programmable, composable building blocks. Mangopay’s regulated platform collects payments, secures transactions and holds funds, splits money between the various parties in the funds flow, and ultimately manages the payout to service providers, sellers, and consumers. Platforms and fintechs using Mangopay regain control and transparency over multi-party payment flows, generate additional revenue, and improve operational efficiency.

As a Network Operations Manager, you will be a key pillar, focused on ensuring strong alignment with global card scheme requirements and supporting the continuous improvement of our payment operations. This role is designed for a subject matter expert who can navigate the sophisticated landscape of Visa and Mastercard regulations to support our merchants' international growth. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our payment ecosystem. Your focus will be on refining our internal compliance frameworks and ensuring that our operational processes evolve in lockstep with scheme mandates. This is a high-impact role that combines technical rulebook mastery with strategic risk management, ensuring Mangopay remains a gold-standard partner for complex platforms.

    • Regulatory Intelligence: Maintain a comprehensive roadmap of scheme bulletins and mandates. Act as the internal partner and advisor for Legal and Product teams to ensure Mangopay’s infrastructure supports the latest industry requirements.
    • Dispute Framework Management: Oversee the technical application of VCR and Mastercard dispute rules, identifying opportunities to improve representation success rates across the network, support internal teams in improving dispute handling and representment quality.
    • Merchant Success Coaching: Provide high-level guidance on representment evidence and dispute mitigation for our most complex merchant partners.
    • Risk Trend Analysis: Monitor and report on key scheme performance metrics, identifying emerging trends and implementing proactive strategies to maintain excellence in portfolio performance.

    • Scheme Correspondence: Draft and manage formal communications with card schemes, ensuring all responses and submissions reflect Mangopay’s commitment to network integrity.
    • Internal Capability Building: Act as a mentor and SME for Underwriting and Risk teams, ensuring that scheme compliance "by design" is embedded in our merchant lifecycle.
    • Policy / Procedure Alignment: Interpret scheme rule changes and translate them into revised internal policies and procedures.
    • Audit Governance: Manage internal records and audit trails for all scheme-related submissions, ensuring Mangopay is always prepared for external reviews or scheme assessments.

Experience You are recognised for:

  • 5+ years of experience in payment operations, scheme compliance, and/or network management within a high-growth Fintech, Acquirer, or major Scheme.
  • In-depth Rulebook Knowledge: A proven track record of interpreting and applying Visa and Mastercard rules in a commercial environment.
  • Analytical Sophistication: Ability to use data to tell a story and drive operational change. Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake is highly advantageous.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional drafting skills for formal compliance correspondence and the ability to simplify complex regulations for non-technical stakeholders.
