We are looking for a Family Worker in Surrey.
Salary: Β£26,500 pro rata

We are recruiting a Family Worker to join an award-winning remote support programme providing trauma-informed interventions for kinship families across the South East of England. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver time-limited support, helping carers build resilience, improve wellbeing, and achieve positive family outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1-to-1 trauma-informed, solution-focused support to kinship carers via phone and video.
- Facilitate monthly online peer support groups, promoting engagement and collaboration.
- Support carers to navigate complex services, linking them to community resources and professional networks.
- Encourage carers to identify strengths, set goals, and work towards positive outcomes.
- Maintain safeguarding and risk management standards, completing assessments and ensuring safe practice.
- Accurately record casework, outcomes, and feedback using digital systems.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, voluntary sector partners, and other agencies.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Proven experience providing family support using a goal-focused approach.
- Experience facilitating peer support groups, ideally online.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently from home and manage a varied workload.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirable:
- Personal experience of kinship care.
- Knowledge of the National Kinship Care Strategy (England ****).
- Experience using Salesforce or other case management systems.
- Existing networks in the South East voluntary/community sector.
