The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Location: Clacton

Working hours:

  • Days - 7am - 8pm (1 hour break)
  • Nights - 19:30pm - 8am (1 hour break)

As the Children's Care Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for all of the children's needs to include:

  • Encourage development: You'll help children with their physical, emotional, social, and educational development by encouraging positive behaviour, guiding them through daily tasks, and supporting their goals and needs.
  • Support Safe Environments: You'll ensure the children in your care are safe at all times, whether they are engaging in activities, during mealtimes, or resting. It's up to you to adhere to safeguard protocols and promote a child-friendly atmosphere.
  • Engage with Children: Build positive relationships with children by offering emotional support and encouragement. By being a role model, you will help children build self-esteem, confidence, and vital life skills.
  • Provide Personal Care: Some children will need assistance with personal care which can include feeding, dressing, toileting, and ensuring that children feel comfortable and supported. Approach this task with dignity and respect.
  • Support Educational Needs: You may also need to support school-age children, assisting in their learning and communicating clearly with parents and other support staff. Help children stay focused and motivated during their educational activities.
  • Assist with Daily Routines: Help children with their daily routines, such as managing meal times, keeping to a schedule, and ensuring children get the proper exercise and rest they need.
  • Manage Behaviour: Handle challenging behaviours in a calm, constructive, and respectful manner. Apply strategies to encourage positive behaviour and assist in resolving conflicts.
