Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Account Manager / Customer Service Executive with a strong background in logistics. This role is key to maintaining and growing client relationships, managing bookings, and ensuring smooth delivery operations. The successful candidate will be highly customer-focused, confident, and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Handle day-to-day customer queries and provide service updates in a timely, professional manner.
- Manage and process bookings for overnight, international, and same-day deliveries.
- Liaise with operations, warehouse staff, and drivers to ensure smooth execution of services.
- Provide accurate documentation and tracking for shipments.
- Proactively resolve service issues and escalate when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to upsell services and grow existing accounts.
- Support warehouse/same-day operations when required.
Requirements
- Proven customer service experience with a solid background in logistics.
- Strong understanding of overnight, international, and same-day bookings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident, persuasive, and able to handle customer-facing interactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and logistics booking systems.
- Flexible - May include some weekend and out-of-hours work.
- Background in warehouse or same-day courier operations.
- Experience supporting sales teams or account growth within logistics.
