- They are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to sell their well-established product range, which has a strong focus in agriculture, forestry, groundcare and grasscare markets.
The Role
- The Area Sales Manager will maximise profit and hit sales targets through managing and developing the existing customer base, as well as identifying opportunities for new business development across agriculture, groundcare, grasscare and forestry sectors.
- You will manage a strategy to assist the growth of sales throughout Scotland and maintain regular contact and good relationships with customers, who you will form close relationships with in order to support product sales through the provision of technical information, training and advice where appropriate.
- Provide effective sales data, including the timely recording of quotation platforms and order ratios (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance against targets.
- Maintain CRM system; provide effective sales data, recording of quotation platforms and order ratios and analysis of sales performance against targets.
- Provide a professional and prompt service to all customers within the operation, including responding to technical queries.
The Candidate
- The successful Area Sales Manager will possess well-honed sales skills and a strong determination to succeed but will also have a sound technical background.
- You will have knowledge of the Agricultural, Forestry, Groundcare or Grasscare markets.
- Mechanically minded with a good understanding of Agricultural, Forestry, Groundcare or Grasscare equipment and the ability to apply technical/professional knowledge and information.
- A commercial approach with a clear focus on standards and quality.
- Self-motivated and a flexible attitude to work demands with an open communication style; friendly, conscientious and committed and above all you will be a team player.
- Highly professional with an ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.
- Commercially aware, with experience in a technical sales environment, selling to agricultural, forestry, groundcare or grasscare markets.
- Full UK driving license.
