Are you an experienced and skilled Product Design Engineer, with a passion for turning exciting concepts into reality? Join a dynamic team of innovators, bridging the gap between customer notion, safety, function and leading edge technology. You will play a pivotal role in the complete product development cycle through to final manufacturing specifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Focus on the design and development of innovative products, ensuring they are functional, user-centric, and cost-effective.
  • Utilize 3D CAD (ideally AutoCAD) to create detailed designs, parts lists and technical specifications.
  • Apply deep knowledge of manufacturing processes to create functional, successful and durable designs.
  • Validate prototypes to identify design weaknesses and optimize performance.
  • Partner with manufacturing partners and internal teams to ensure technical feasibility and commercial success.

What You’ll Need

  • Education: A degree (BSc, BEng), HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years experience in a similar product design environment or consultancy.
  • Software Mastery: Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and MS Office.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A pragmatic approach to solving complex engineering challenges and balancing conflicting product requirements.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, technical drawings, and successful projects.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a true team player; committed – you care about outcomes.
