At Maneno we are passionate about reading. We have devoted all our energy for the past 6 years to build the world’s best reading app for children aged 5-11. Some refer to us as the “Spotify for children's books”, but we think of ourselves as the company that gets kids excited about reading.
Maneno is currently used by over 25,000 kids each month and we are expanding globally to unlock the power of reading for all children in the world. We’re also backed by leading digital investors - Founders Factory and North East Venture.
We are looking for an experienced growth person to help us launch and grow in the UK and become our Head of User Acquisition. You will lead the growth strategy, find the right fit for our product within the DTC and BTB space, and be responsible for acquiring users in the UK. You will work closely with the Product Manager and CEO to inspire users to tell others about how we have helped their family and increase word-of-mouth.

Our ideal candidate is an original thinker with a highly creative mind, makes data-driven decisions, and has a strong network and excellent communication skills to convey the product advantage in a language customers can understand and appreciate.
Your responsibilities:
- Owning acquisition efforts across Local Paid marketing channels and partnerships.
- Owning activation and retention metrics and working towards improving them by identifying gaps in the funnel, devising experiments to plug gaps, and doubling down on successful experiments.
- Identifying a list of experiments that can be run across the funnel, prioritising and scheduling these experiments to be run continuously.
- Working with developers and designers to run these experiments and interpret results.
- Establishing closed-loop analytics to understand how our marketing activity turns into leads and customers, continually refining our process to improve the conversion rate.
- Identifying and establishing partnerships with external literacy stakeholders.
- Building a strategy for SEO and writing engaging content that converts leads into paid users.
- Being hands-on and willing to get involved in all aspects of the product process.
Qualifications:
Must have:
- Previous experience in Growth Marketing, affiliate marketing, and/or acquisition campaign management in the UK.
- Growth mindset and solid understanding of all performance marketing channels: Paid, SEO, CRO, affiliate marketing, content marketing, and email marketing automation.
- Strong understanding of data and how it is collected, along with metrics needed to evaluate the effectiveness of experiments.
- Understanding of product development lifecycle and how to engage with a technical team.
- Documented experience using data in decision-making processes.
- Proven experience in go-to-market marketing strategies and execution.
- Understanding of business intelligence, data readiness, and analytical skills.
- Understanding of marketing funnels, segmentation, and brand positioning.
- Technical skills to set up campaigns and collect data to evaluate effectiveness.
Nice to have:
- Proven ability to build and scale marketing business models.
- Prior experience in juggling multiple projects and delegating work effectively.
- Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Deep knowledge of analytics tools such as Mixpanel and CleverTap.
- Experience working with EdTech startups or within the publishing industry.
