We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide short‑term paternity cover across multiple infrastructure project sites throughout Scotland and the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong all‑round engineer who is comfortable supporting live site operations, quality documentation, lift planning activities, and occasional setting out duties.
Pay: £350-400 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Location: Projects across:
- Wooler
- Simprim
- Haddington
- Rhynd (Perth)
- Charlestown (Dunfermline)
- Pettinain (Lanark)
Travel between sites will be required, so candidates based centrally within Scotland/Fife/Kinross areas would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
- Completing WC Quality Check Sheets
- Supporting Lift Plans and lifting coordination activities
- Providing day‑to‑day engineering support on site
- Carrying out occasional setting out duties
- Maintaining accurate site documentation and records
- Supporting quality, safety, and compliance procedures
- Liaising with site teams and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience with quality documentation and site compliance
- Knowledge of Lift Plans and associated site activities
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
- AutoCAD experience
- Setting out experience
- Infrastructure or utilities project background
