We are currently recruiting for a QA Administrator / Document Controller to join a well-established and growing business in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the Quality Assurance function while developing your career within a professional engineering and manufacturing environment.
The Role
As QA Administrator / Document Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring company documentation is accurately controlled, maintained, distributed, and stored in accordance with quality management procedures. You will work closely with internal departments and project teams to ensure documents are managed effectively and remain compliant with company and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the receipt, issue, distribution, and electronic storage of controlled documents.
- Uploading and maintaining documentation on client portals and project Extranet systems.
- Monitoring project portals and distributing updates, comments, and revisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining document registers and ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
- Assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
- Supporting the development and improvement of document control procedures.
- Providing general administrative support to the Quality Assurance team.
- Ensuring documentation is managed in line with company quality procedures and standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Document Controller, QA Administrator, Project Administrator, or similar administrative role.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with document management systems or project portals.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, steelwork, or industrial sectors.
- Experience using PDF editing software.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and controlled documentation processes.
