Quality Shift Leader - Automotive Team Leader (TL) is responsible for supporting the delivery of customer containment and rework projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role supports the achievement of customer KPIs and is based on-site at customer facilities or satellite operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain work instructions and risk assessments to customer specifications.
  • Understand and apply technical project requirements (CAD drawings, tolerances, quality standards).
  • Provide project cost estimates following feasibility assessments.
  • Coordinate quality containment, inspection, rework, and logistics activities.
  • Ensure accurate data capture using eQCC.
  • Manage KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Organise and supervise shifts of up to 30 inspectors.
  • Liaise with OEMs, customers, and suppliers as required.
  • Promote 5S, safety compliance, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Support accurate timesheet submission and HR processes.

Requirements

  • Automotive industry experience working with OEMs and suppliers.
  • Experience producing work instructions and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of processes, eQCC, and MS Office.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and motivation to develop.
