We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Administrator to support the delivery of a major structural steel package development in Central London. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the project and site management teams with document control, administration, coordination, and reporting throughout the construction lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in the construction or structural steel sector who can work in a fast‑paced project environment and maintain excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, Site Managers, and Commercial Team
  • Manage project documentation, drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate records using document control systems and company platforms
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes/actions
  • Track project deliverables, deadlines, and approvals
  • Assist with procurement administration, subcontractor onboarding, and material tracking
  • Support health & safety administration including inductions, training records, and site compliance documentation
  • Maintain site registers including labour, deliveries, and plant records
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers professionally and efficiently
  • Assist with monthly reporting, progress updates, and commercial documentation
  • Ensure filing systems and project records remain organised and up to date
  • Support payroll/time sheet administration for site personnel where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Project Administrator, Site Administrator, or Document Controller role within construction
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience working on major construction or structural steel projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
