This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines strong technical capability with leadership experience. You will deliver and oversee high-quality utilities surveys to PAS 128 standards, manage multiple projects in parallel, and support the development of junior surveyors. If you enjoy technical problem-solving, leading teams on site, and working closely with clients to deliver complex projects safely and efficiently, this could be the role for you.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading utilities and topographical surveys using GPR, EML and TPS/GNSS
- Delivering and overseeing PAS 128 compliant surveys
- Managing data collection and post-processing (AutoCAD 2D/3D, IQMaps, Geolitix)
- Supervising and mentoring junior surveyors
- Overseeing multiple live projects, ensuring quality, programme and budget targets are met
- Acting as a technical point of contact for clients on site
- Supporting project planning, logistics and commercial inputs including estimates
What We Are Looking For:
- Extensive experience in utilities surveying
- Strong knowledge of PAS 128
- Proficiency with GPR, EML, TPS and GNSS equipment
- AutoCAD capability (2D/3D)
- Experience post-processing GPR data
- CSCS certified
- Experience leading teams and managing projects concurrently
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility for occasional night work and working away from home is required.
