Main purpose and scope of job
- To oversee the end to end sales process for both matrix and bespoke contracts.
- To provide quotes to both matrix and bespoke customers.
- To provide excellent customer service.
- Grow our business by securing new customers, selling additional services to existing customers and cross selling with other departments.
Functional responsibilities
- To achieve both personal and team targets.
- To contribute to sales reports where required by the Head of UCM.
- Understand the needs for different types of clients, tailoring relevant products to them.
- Collect accurate information from prospects to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Manage pipeline effectively including logging of won and lost business for reporting purposes.
- Identify cross‐selling opportunities for other areas of the business.
- Be fully responsible for the quality of sale up to the supply going live.
- To prepare for huddles and team meetings with potential leads, successes and issues for discussion.
- To follow the sales process to ensure consistency, suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Ensure all tasks are logged, noted and monitored efficiently in the system to ensure a high standard of service is met.
- To ensure sufficient support and accurate information is provided to the contract admin team.

Knowledge and Expertise
- 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent including Maths & English.
- Business to business sales experience including telesales.
- The sale of utilities contracts – electricity, gas, water.

- Communicates clearly and logically, verbally and in writing, using concise, jargon‐free language.
- Proficient in making sales‐related telephone calls including "cold" calling.
