We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Waste Management Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our business. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities, particularly with organisations requiring multi-site waste management solutions. You will play a key role in expanding our waste management portfolio and strengthening our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Development: Work closely with the existing waste management team to identify and grow opportunities across our UK portfolio.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and demonstrating the value of our managed services.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Conduct detailed needs assessments, present tailored solutions, and guide clients through the onboarding process in collaboration with account managers.
- Proposal & Solution Development: Prepare high-quality, tailored proposals that align with client requirements and business objectives.
- Negotiation & Closing: Address client queries, negotiate commercial terms, and successfully secure new business contracts.
- Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to effectively position our services.
- Networking & Business Development: Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build connections and generate leads.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding of new clients.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline performance, and revenue forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of the waste management market and associated challenges.
- Strong customer focus, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time management skills.
