We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder - Days to join a team in South Yorkshire. This role is responsible for cutting, assembling, and welding steel components used in the construction of buildings, bridges, industrial plants, and other large-scale structures.

The successful candidate will transform raw steel materials into accurate, high-quality structural elements in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel components, including: UB's, UC's, PFC's, CHS's.
  • Perform cutting, grinding, and welding tasks to meet project requirements.
  • Safely operate hand tools, fabrication machinery, and measuring equipment.
  • Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  • Operate lifting equipment including overhead cranes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Wear correct PPE at all times.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in structural steel fabrication is essential.
  • Trade qualification in fabrication/welding is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong welding and metalworking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to handle steel materials safely.
  • Strong understanding of workshop health & safety practices.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
