To coordinate and manage production activities to ensure all parts are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role is responsible for leading, developing, and motivating the production team while ensuring compliance with all procedures and driving continuous improvement in output, quality, and performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
- Production & Operational Management
- Plan, prioritise, and delegate daily production activities.
- Ensure all quality procedures and standards are followed at all times.
- Set up and operate machinery safely, including sliding and fixed head CNC machines with Fanuc controls, lathes, drilling, and tapping equipment.
- Conduct first-off inspections and ongoing job-run quality checks.
- Coordinate, monitor, and report monthly production KPIs.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure timely and efficient manufacture of all parts.
- Manage machine maintenance requirements and take appropriate action when issues arise.
- Ensure tooling availability, manage tooling representatives, and support tooling sales and orders.
- Deliver KPI targets relating to on-time delivery, arrears management, quality, and profitability.
- People Management & Leadership
- Manage attendance, sickness absence, holidays, and ensure adequate cover at all times.
- Ensure team members are suitably trained to perform their roles and provide cover where required.
- Identify training and development needs and ensure appropriate support is provided.
- Maintain high standards of discipline and manage performance or disciplinary issues when required.
- Create a positive, motivated, and high-performing working environment.
- Take an active role in interviewing, assessing, and onboarding new team members.
- Clearly communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations within the team.
- Continuous Improvement & Communication
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, and workflow.
- Raise concerns regarding undesirable conditions and propose practical solutions.
- Promote a "right first time" culture across the production team.
- Keep senior management informed of progress, challenges, and any critical issues.
- Participate in and prepare for regular management meetings.
- Support the wider factory management team with reasonable ad-hoc requests.
