We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure organisation delivering major engineering projects in Waltham Cross.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing commercial team where you will play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery of complex projects, managing subcontractor accounts, administering contracts and ensuring projects remain commercially successful from inception through to final account.

The Role

Working closely with Business Unit Managers, Project Managers and commercial teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing commercial reports, applications and contractual documentation.

  • Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts, including valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.

  • Supporting the administration of compensation events and contractual changes.

  • Monitoring commercial risks and maintaining project risk registers.

  • Producing accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost analysis.

  • Supporting project profitability through effective cost control.

  • Attending commercial and project meetings.

  • Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation.

  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety standards.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, civil engineering, rail, utilities or construction.

  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial documentation.

  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and compensation events (desirable).

  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative commercial team.
