We are currently seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Winder to join our dynamic team. This role involves the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of electric rotors, stators, armatures, and related components. If you have a background in electro-mechanical assembly, winding, or hands-on technical assembly work, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Wind, assemble, and install wire coils for electric rotors, stators, armatures and other components — manually and/or using machinery.
- Assemble subcomponents into complete products, following technical drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Conduct mechanical reliability tests, including core loss, hi-pot, phase balance, and rotational direction.
- Inspect, assess, and carry out rework or repairs as necessary.
- Use soldering equipment to perform thru-hole, surface mount, or hard soldering on small components.
- Measure parts and clearances with precision instruments.
- Operate hand tools and machinery required for assembly work.
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and operates in line with 5S standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and issues encountered.
- Perform quality checks and tests on completed assemblies.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Undertake additional duties as required, including cross-training and supporting other departments.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
- Strong electro-mechanical assembly skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Proficiency in soldering small components.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.
- Basic IT literacy.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical winding.
- Experience assembling small components (model kits, electronics, or similar).
- Experience using small tooling.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and 5S practices.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible for BPSS Clearance.
- Ability to provide a minimum of 3 years' employment history.
- Subject to a CRB check and address verification.
