We are looking for a proactive Senior Compliance Officer to join our team, taking ownership of compliance processes and ensuring we meet the regulatory, legislative and industry standards required to operate successfully.
Experience within the recruitment sector is essential, with Rail industry experience highly desirable.
The Role
- Oversee recruitment compliance, candidate onboarding and pre-employment screening.
- Maintain compliance systems, records and documentation, ensuring audit readiness.
- Manage Rail compliance requirements, including Sentinel, training, medicals and safety certifications.
- Monitor Right to Work checks, working hours and fatigue management.
- Coordinate audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain relevant accreditations, including RISQS, and monitor changes in legislation and industry standards.
- Support and advise recruitment teams, driving best practice and continuous improvement.
About You
- Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within a compliance-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment compliance, candidate screening and Right to Work requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to advise and support colleagues at all levels.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable managing competing priorities.
Rail recruitment experience, including knowledge of Sentinel and RISQS, would be a significant advantage.
