We’re looking for a Senior Test Architect to take on a key technical expert role within a leading Defence/aerospace organisation. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how complex missile systems are tested – from early design studies through to production and long-term support.
This role will see you defining test strategies, designing and specifying test equipment, and analysing production data to spot issues and improve reliability. You’ll also play a major part in setting best practice across projects, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction at a senior level.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and manage test strategies for complex Defence systems.
- Specify and support the design of test equipment and tools.
- Analyse test and production data to diagnose issues and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to system modelling to assess test coverage and diagnostics.
- Support bid activities and major project reviews.
- Share best practice across projects and mentor junior engineers.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics/Engineering.
- Strong background in electronic circuit design, testing, and failure analysis.
- Proven experience in test equipment design and requirements capture.
- Knowledge of Design for Testability (DfT).
- Ability to lead technically and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and occasionally EU.

- Salary circa £72,000 depending on experience.
