We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Quality Manager. This is a hands-on role supporting quality assurance activities across our West Sussex and Plymouth sites, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and meeting customer and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the QA representative in project and design reviews
  • Liaise with customers on quality requirements and support audits/testing
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
  • Conduct internal audits and support corrective actions (NCRs, CAPAs)
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead structured problem solving (e.g. 5 Whys, DMAIC)
  • Analyse quality and production data to identify trends and improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Support supplier quality activities, including assessments and issue resolution
  • Prepare quality plans and support contract reviews
  • Manage customer returns, fault analysis, and reporting

Skills & Experience

  • Essential: 3+ years' experience in engineering/manufacturing or HND (or higher) in a relevant discipline
  • Desirable: Experience in a Quality Engineer role; Background in regulated industries such as defence or aerospace
