The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Due to extensive growth within their business, our client is urgently recruiting for a CNC Miller on a 3 month, rolling contract basis. You will mainly be programming, setting & operating Matsuura 5 Axis Machines. You will be working on MX330 & MX 420 Matsuura machines. Suitable candidates will have a good knowledge of materials and machining techniques and will be working with an experienced team who take pride in their machined product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The role requires programming, setting and machining parts to a high standard.
  • Ensuring reliable, efficient processes are planned in advance of manufacture of new parts for New Product Introduction.
  • Required to work on a variety of different metal components and different metals including aluminium, stainless steel and brass.
  • The Miller will work on several machines including Mazak mill/turn twin spindle/twin turret lathe.
  • Candidates will be required to ensure that all production targets are met.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be confident in using Matsuura MX330 & MX420.
  • Must be able to program, set and operate.
  • Must be able to work on 4 & 5 Axis milling machines.
  • They must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings to enable programming, setting and manufacture to achieve a right first-time product.
  • Some programming experience with ISO controls would be an advantage but training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with good practical application.
  • Highly motivated to improving productivity without compromise on quality.
  • Good communication, operational and organisational skills.
  • Well presented with a positive, proactive and professional approach.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative.

This is a full time permanent or temporary position, 40 hour week. Day Shift: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
