The Opportunity
Are you an analytically strong Risk or Project Controls professional with experience in major capital delivery? We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support the delivery of a major, long-term transformation programme in Stansted. Working as part of an established programme risk team, you will play a key role in driving a proactive risk culture across a complex, high-profile infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for a commercially aware specialist who excels at facilitating stakeholder workshops, maintaining robust risk registers, and translating complex data into high-quality reporting for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Workshop Facilitation: Preparing, coordinating, and leading monthly project-level risk workshops with multidisciplinary teams.
- Register Management: Maintaining and updating comprehensive programme risk registers and risk management systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Analysis & Modelling: Supporting both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including risk modelling, scenario analysis, and change impact assessments.
- Reporting & Governance: Preparing high-quality risk dashboards, monthly reporting packs, and documentation to support senior stakeholder decision-making.
- Culture & Improvement: Promoting a proactive risk culture and contributing to the continuous improvement of tools, templates, and onboarding materials.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience
- A proven track record in Risk Management, Project Controls, or Programme Controls.
- Direct experience supporting major infrastructure projects (Aviation, Transport, Utilities, Energy, or major Capital Delivery).
- Strong capability in facilitating risk workshops and managing live risk registers.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present clear risk insights to senior stakeholders.
- Eligibility to obtain BPSS clearance as a minimum.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Professional qualifications such as APM, IRM, or a relevant degree.
- Experience with specialized risk tools (e.g., riskHive, Safran, PRA, ARM, Xactium, or @Risk).
- Familiarity with QCRA (Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis) and QSRA (Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis).
- Knowledge of ISO 31000, APM, or IRM frameworks, or Value Management principles.
