We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to join our growing team working across high-voltage electricity transmission projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing Mechanical & Electric site operations within National Grid substations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day M&E site activities on transmission and substation projects
  • Ensure compliance with National Grid procedures and site safety regulations
  • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and HSE performance
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with NEC contracts and construction methodologies
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • NG Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full
  • Previous experience working within the Electricity Transmission industry
  • Competent working in substations from 66kV to 400kV
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site management
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation
  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • IT literate
  • Previous or current authorisation to National Grid TP137, including impressed voltage awareness
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • CITB / SMSTS / NEBOSH / IOSH Temporary Works Supervisor qualification HSG47 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of National Grid transmission procedures
  • MUST HAVE National Grid Person certification
