We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to join our growing team working across high-voltage electricity transmission projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing Mechanical & Electric site operations within National Grid substations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day M&E site activities on transmission and substation projects
- Ensure compliance with National Grid procedures and site safety regulations
- Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, quality, and HSE performance
- Ensure works are delivered in line with NEC contracts and construction methodologies
- Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- NG Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full
- Previous experience working within the Electricity Transmission industry
- Competent working in substations from 66kV to 400kV
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site management
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation
- Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- IT literate
- Previous or current authorisation to National Grid TP137, including impressed voltage awareness
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations
- CITB / SMSTS / NEBOSH / IOSH Temporary Works Supervisor qualification HSG47 or equivalent
- Working knowledge of National Grid transmission procedures
- MUST HAVE National Grid Person certification
